Crosslake Wedding April 23rd, 2016 | Kim + Kenny | Crosslake Wedding
Kim and Kenny had their April wedding ceremony at Manhattan Beach and Recpetion at White Fish Lodge in Crosslake Minnesota. Such a great spot for a wedding and nice little getawy from the Twin Cities.
While Kim was getting ready with her entourage downstairs of Whitefish Lodge, the guys and us went out and took some pictures on the golf course. The groomsmen were a fun bunch and we got some fun shots of them outside. Kim and Kenny were also blessed with wonderful weather for Minnesota in April.
Kim got into her gorgeous beaded strapless gown with the help of her mother, three sisters and bridal party. We took bridal party pictures outside behind White Fish while the guys headed over to the ceremony site and hid out. Kim and Kenny chose not to a first look for their Crosslake wedding, which makes the ceremony the first time of them seeing each other that day.
A last minute choice to get married out on the dock was a great one – it was calm and the sky was perfect. It was going to rain a little bit but didn’t start until much later when the ceremony had concluded and we finished everyone’s pictures. Kim’s father walked her down the aisle and gave her away. It was a sweet and beautiful ceremony, you could truly tell their love for one another.
Now the wedding party pictures were not typical with this group. We did the standard formals and group shots but they were also full of fun poses and superhero props. Shields and swords, this group was fun and playful. We wrapped up pictures with Kim and Kenny by themselves, just soaking up the moment with one another as officially husband and wife.
Party time. After a round of drinks and some more fun pictures we headed back to the reception site of their Crosslake wedding. Whitefish Lodge had their banquet room beautifully decorated with Kim’s pink and white details. The wedding party had heartfelt yet funny toasts, the perfect combination. Then the dance party kicked off after the first dances, and was a lot of fun. This group knew how to party and have fun.
